Imagine trading the humid air of the plains for the crisp, pine-scented breeze of the Himalayas. Recently, I had the pleasure of hosting a group of friends from Nashik, Maharashtra, on a road trip that perfectly balanced the popular charm of Manali with the untouched serenity of the Jibhi and Tirthan Valley tour. As their driver and local guide, I watched them transform from tired travelers into awe-struck explorers.
Whether you are looking for a Manali and Jibhi Tour package or an offbeat Jibhi tour, this 6-day itinerary captures the true soul of Himachal.
Our guests arrived at the Chandigarh Railway Station via train from Nashik. After a hearty Punjabi breakfast, we hit the road for a 250 km journey toward Tirthan Valley.
The Route: We passed the shimmering Govind Sagar Lake and the tranquil Sundernagar Lake.
The Highlight: A stop at Pandoh Dam, where we took a ropeway ride across the gushing river to visit the Mata Baglamukhi Temple. It was a spiritual and thrilling start!
Evening: We reached Tirthan Valley by late evening and checked into a beautiful riverside hotel. We ended the day with a cozy bonfire and dinner by the sound of the flowing river.
The second day was all about heights and raw nature. We drove up the steep, rugged roads toward Jalori Pass.
Spiritual Stop: On the way, we sought blessings at the Shringa Rishi Temple and enjoyed a scenic lunch at a cafe in Shoja.
The Adventure: By 2:00 PM, we reached Jalori Top. Instead of a hotel, we opted for a camp stay at Jalori Top.
The Trek: We trekked 5 km (roundtrip) to the ruins of Raghupur Fort. The 360-degree views from the top are unmatched.
Night: Jalori is a legendary spot for stargazing. While the tents were basic and rustic, sleeping under a blanket of a billion stars with a bonfire for company was a life-changing experience.
After a misty morning at the pass, we began our descent.
The Choice: Many travelers do the 8 km trek to Saryolsar Lake, but since we had explored the fort, we decided to head straight to Jibhi.
Jibhi Sightseeing: We explored the famous Jibhi Waterfall, hopped between quirky local cafes, and soaked in the “old-world” vibe of the village. We returned to our riverside base in Tirthan for the night.
Leaving the quiet valleys behind, we moved toward the bustling energy of Manali.
Adrenaline Rush: On the way, the group stopped for River Rafting and Paragliding in the Beas River.
Manali Vibe: We reached Manali by evening. The night was alive with music, a DJ, and a bonfire—a perfect contrast to the silence of Jibhi.
No Manali jibhi tirthan valley tour is complete without playing in the snow.
The Loop: We drove through the engineering marvel of the Atal Tunnel to reach Sissu and Solang Valley.
Activities: The day was filled with skiing, tube rides, and plenty of snowball fights. We returned to Manali in the evening, exhausted but happy.
On our final day, we took it slow to appreciate Manali’s culture.
Local Sightseeing: We visited the iconic Hadimba Devi Temple, Van Vihar, and the Club House.
Old Manali: We explored the narrow lanes of Old Manali on foot, visiting hidden cafes and finally ending the trip with some souvenir shopping on Mall Road.
The Departure: Finally, we drove back to Chandigarh, where our friends from Nashik boarded their train home, carrying a piece of the mountains in their hearts.
